If you are too damn lazy clean your dishes after you cook last night (Lemon Pepper Pollack & Tomato and Basil Tortilini) and you placed the dirties in the oven,
make sure you take them out before you warm up the oven the next day.
... surprisingly, it smells good.

I do this all the time with bacon. I put the baking sheet
back in the oven to let the grease cool so I can just take the parchment paper off and toss it once it’s more solidified
(no, I absolutely
do not save bacon grease, shut up)
, but I always forget about it and the next time I preheat the oven it smells like I’m cooking bacon all over again.

why not just leave them sitting out? Putting a dirty, empty dish back in the oven is more effort than just letting it sit on the stove or countertop
.
