so much that my friend and I ended up buying tickets to Tokyo.

It was half the price it normally is, so it was one of those “how could I afford not to?” moments.

Looks like my big trip for 2020 is set; it’s well before the Olympics so I’m not worried about that.

Can’t wait to cram some delicious foods into me. I’m hoping to make my way northward this time rather than the very standard tourist route (Tokyo -> Fuji -> Osaka/Kyoto) that we took last time.

My friend and I are also planning to hop over to South Korea during this time, probably for Seoul and Busan only since we only have three weeks total.

After sobering up I gave it a good think and realized it’s a great decision.

Tokyo flights from where are typically in the $1300-ish range, so half price is a fucking steal.

I used to have a bad habit of buying computer parts on newegg when I drank. I probably built 4 or 5 “Friday night specials” as my roomates called them when I was in college. Luckily I could sell them and get the money back. But I have never purchased plane tickets or made travel commitments like that. What site or travel company had the tickets at half price?

Expat bars usually are, everywhere I go.

I don’t typically seek those out but it can be very fun for a couple of nights on a long trip, especially to converse with other tourists and their travels.
