Meh. Annoying car. You have to be careful opening the bonnet b eca use there is only just enough windscreen wash pipe going to the head, open it too far and one of the tubes will pop off. Al so opening the tailgate, over time it can wear down the plastic sheathing on the wires and can short out leading to a loss of rear window wiper, auxiliary rear brake lightrear window heater matrix, etc... .

Fiat have known about it for years.

Tailgate/door wiring wear in general is an issue most manufacturers have battled at one point imo. As for the short wash pipe not allowing full opening just seems weird, but that’s Fiat for ya.

Ye’, the wires are especially short that there isn’t any freedom to move.

Some dealerships have been known to splice in an extra couple of inches and add further insulation tape to the wiring to stop it wearing through as easy.

Always liked the Punto. Wouldn’t mind having the TwinAir version because quirky, but, of course we don’t get them here in Canadialan d.

I’ve wondered for a long while why FCA designed a new car for the Dodge and Chrysler small cars in 2009/10/11 instead of rebadging the Punto and Panda.. it’s not like the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 were runaway successes and in our current suv craze I think there’s a market for a cheap underpowered tall hatchback in N A..

Canada generally likes small cars a lot more that the US, which is why we have things like the Micra here. T really think a tall small hatchback like the Panda would do well here, especially the 4x4 model. They'd prob bring it over as an auto and covert it to AWD or some such so for market conditions though...

Yeah, though I’ve long thought that the main reason the US doesn’t get the Micra is that it’d cannibalize Versa sedan sales since they’d undercut their own price leader by at least us$3000..
