Last year i had to go from m y work to a client in Edinburgh.
This was ny first time in Scotland, and i was aware that thier English is... Unique...
It took me a good 15 mins just to understand the dude at the border control when i landed...
And the rest of my week mainly revolved around me asking people of they can repeat what they said..

Haha, that’s funny. I’ve always found Edinburgh to be very understandable. They get a lot of tourists there so the accent is a bit dulled. Glasgow on the other hand, whew. I love it there (it’s one of the few place I’ve ever been that I would want to live and the only place where I felt happy without a car). The accents are brutal though. I’ve spent an epic amount of time there, so I can understand it pretty well now. Just for fun, when I have friends over from out of town and they ask about Glasgow , I subject them to an episode of Still Game.
