I bought a bunch of meat, it’s all that nice farm-to-table, grass-fed, happy until the moment they aren’t kind of meats from local farms near me.
We’re talking 5 pounds of chicken breast, 5 pounds of pork back ribs, and 3 pounds of striploin steak. Looking forward to eating it!

Nothing fancy; Montreal steak spice, cooked in my cast iron skillet.
I don’t mind food photos it’s just that I usually forget since I’m so eager to cram the food in me.
When I do remember, I have a rule of one-and-done - take one photo and then fuck off and eat. It’s usually when I’m abroad so that I can show people what I ate instead of trying to explain an okonomiyaki or banh xeo to people who don’t know much, if anything, about Japanese or Vietnamese food.

We keep saying that we need to move towards eating less meat, and the meat that we do eat, to get this way…maybe go halfsies on a few slaughters for the year or something with some local hipsters. Lots of farmers out here that make that possible, and having a garage with a chest freezer makes it a real possibility too…gotta look in to it.
I fully understand that this isn’t a viable means for all people to obtain their meat, and is only an option available to a privileged few.

I live in an apartment so I unfortunately don’t have room for a chest freezer, but I had plenty of room in my freezer for a small delivery like this.
The strip steak I had last night was really tasty. Probably gonna make the ribs for the US Grand Prix this weekend.
