Ladies and Gentleman of OPPO, the late great Sergio the Mergio is a happy man up in car-heaven. The resolution passed through both boards and a 50/50 merger is happening between FCA/PSA. Lord help us, I hope they have a good warranty plan.

Oh boy, this will get interesting. Not that I would buy one in any stretch of the imagine, because as stated reliability, but it would be cool to see the Fiat dealers welcome in some of the Peugeot brands and start selling them here in the states.
I know I’m getting ahead of this a bit but it has been a long time since a new French car has hit the states and would be cool to see a couple on our roads.
Just hope the person that does buy one, actually re -ups on their extended car warranty

not likely. Too much of their lineup is in market segments in free-fall here (small cars, sedans, wagons) and their CUVs are not particularly standouts.

Yeah, I think the key thing though is that their top 3 markets don’t intersect.
FCA top markets - US, Italy, Brazil
PSA top markets - France, Germany, UK
It can be in-roads to those markets, but more likely it leads to cheaper/more efficient platform sharing across the markets.

Probably. The only thing I can imagine being useful is maybe getting a small/midsize car to slap a chrysler badge on?
I mean, they can platform share and jointly develop. And a huge benefit is they don’t overlap top markets so they won’t step on toes (FCA- US, Italy, Brazil. PSA - France, Germany, UK).

That’s monthly sales for Regal in toto. TourX sales are a fraction of that. Not only are you not going to see an Opel Insignia wagon, I’m surprised GM hasn’t shitcanned the TourX already.

exactly. it’s a cut-throat, low-margin, capital intensive business. actual sharing across business units is why FCA has been successful where DaimlerChrysler was an abject failure.

Typically people call the extreme option the “Nuclear Option” I’m pretty sure that’s the “ Biological Warfare Option”
