My parents still haven’t gotten a replacement for their two totaled cars, although they can at least drive the one whose windshield wasn’t smashed. But my mother wanted to use our Volvo to pick up my son from school today, so I took the truck to work. If you look really closely, you can see pumpkins up on the spires of the clock tower in the background. Here’s a better view (I didn’t take this one):
Happy Halloween!

Stupid question about your truck - on the front, there are the white grill turn signals and the amber
ones on the bumper. Are both sets wired to do the same thing?

I’ve been itching to take the Cor vette but this is our current situation
I will admit I was still tempted to take it today, but I have no idea if the wipers work and even if they did the blades are most likely 40 years old and completely useless.

The rectangular ones on the grille are only “parking” lights, and they’re only on when you pull the light switch out to its first detent. With the headlights on, they are off - almost like a very early DRL except not at all automatic. The ones on the bumper are the turn signals, and I *think* they’re only on when actually being used as turn signals, as opposed to the dual-filament type of light like the taillights. I’m not positive about the last part.

I kind of want a feature like that on my house. Except, it wouldn’t look right being that I live in the woods. But still.
I would definitely stand up on the roof of that round bit and throw candy down to terrified trick-or-treaters, preferably with a trebuchet or catapult.

Such a beauty...
Have you ever stayed up all night to see how they do it?

That would just add to the spooky haunted castle vibe.

No, it’s a surprisingly well-kept secret, too. I’ve heard several people give honest, plausible descriptions of “how it’s done” as though they knew for sure, but of course the stories are different.
I mean, there aren’t THAT many options...
