I’ve been watching Samcrac almost from the beginning. Hey, I even won an ODB scan tool in one of his early giveaways. His shilling for these companies is getting to be a bit much. It’s off-putting to me. I guess it doesn’t matter if I don’t watch much anymore as he seems to be doing pretty well.

I was wondering what was going on, as I hadn’t heard of the NordVPN breach until this. All of a sudden I see the people I follow (Tom Scott, Louis Rossmann) talking about VPNs and it now all makes sense.

Can’t fault anyone for doing what gets you paid (Vincero, Nord VPN, MMORPG Mobile game of the month, Dollar Shave Club, etc.).

Hell, DeBarge makes money off an ultra right wing website.

Anyway, I still enjoy watching Samcrac — Hoovie, DeMuro, and Tavarish a lot less. There videos are starting to be too long, old schitck, and/or self-indulgent. I still like them very much and want them to continue to succeed.

In their place, I've watched more of Rich Rebuilds, Sarah-n-Tuned, and more overseas folks like JayEmm on Cars, Cars with JB, Carfection, etc.

I know a lot of YouTubers are sponsored by NordVPN, though, and that’s often what gets a more reliable stream of income than however YouTube decides it wants to structure its payments this year. I can’t blame them for running the sponsored messages, just like I can’t blame podcasts for accepting sponsorships. At least this one isn’t related to car stuff that he’d cover , I guess.

Either way, man, that sucks to get hacked. I remember losing control of my Spreadshirt account just from forgetting the password. I had to dig up a bill from 2011 that showed my address from when I made the account just to get it back, and that took until...last month. Fhwelp.

Ugh, too busy trying to get parsh ready. It caught up with my this week, and I got a big dumb migraine with the cold snap. Yay me. Hopefully I’ll crank a parshletter out sooner rather than later, though.

I’ll be at T12 in the PCA block. If anyone else is going, say hi if you see a Puffalump.
