At least we will have all the historical footage. While the presenter may not be the best (it’s his channel) it is very interesting nonetheless.

There’s an 11'6" bridge close to my office but I don’t think it would have the same kind of appeal. It’s taller on the approaching side so most of the time the overheight trucks just get wedged in. Nothing goes flying, which eliminates a lot of the appeal that the 11foot8 bridge had.

That’s pretty damn extreme. The one here is downtown so it sees a fair amount of action, and the fact that there’s Ryder place close ups the tally quite a bit. I’ve seen at least half a dozen trucks wedged in there personally and most were Ryder rentals.

They’re only raising it to 12'6", which is still something like 4 feet lower than most bridges nowadays. I’m guessing there will still be some can opener action, just perhaps not quite as frequently as before. It will still be a foot shorter than the height of larger rental trucks from Pensky and the like.

There will still be videos, just not as many as before. 12.5ft. will still catch some tall vehicles.
