The Insight’s windshield is dirty...don’t know how but it just is. My parents bought some cheapy microfiber cloth to clean it with and that did a sub par job.
What’s Oppo’s tips and tricks to cleaning the inside?

Stoners cleaner and a microfiber usually does the job for me. S ometimes a razor can do wonders to get gunk off

alcohol / vinegar / water in a spray bottle.
Best home made cleaner. I use it to clean the inside of windows. Also the floor in the house, shower, anything really.

You’re going to get as many opinions on this as the number of comments.
Anyway, my favorite method is to use three microfiber cloths; one wet with water and with a hint of Dawn ( just enough soap on it that you can just barely tell by how it sounds in your hand ), one just wet with water for rinsing, and one to dry. Use the Dawn cloth, then the rinse, then the dry cloth. Don’t let the windshield dry before you use the dry cloth ( you might need to clean in patches to accomplish this ).
I’ve had an occasion or two where I’m not happy with the results, but that is very rare.
As to why the inside is dirty, assuming you mean there’s a haze: interior plastics and adhesives ( including the adhesives that bond your windshield to the car ) outgas ( release volatile vapors ), which builds up on your glass surfaces. Generally, this gets better as the car ages. It’s almost always the worst on new cars ( and on cars with new windshields... ).

I wouldn’t use brand new unwashed microfibres on the inside glass.
I use washed microfibres and follow up with a suede cloth to remove any loose fibres but as suggested, newspaper is really good for cleaning glass.

Stop by the local gas station and pick up any of a number of free newspapers.

Glass cleaner. Microfibre cloth. Spray and wipe thoroughly
Get a second cloth and wipe. It thoroughly dry.
Can be done with one cloth if you save yourself a dry section.
Thoroughness is key. As it's hard to see what sections you've done. But any parts you miss, you'll see later.

Everyone’s comments here are about the cleaning agent used, but nobody is a ad dressing the difficulty to completely get the windshield due to th e angle. There’s some “As seen on tv” tool that can reach those corners where the dash and the windshield meet. If you don’t feel like spending the money, I wrap a cl ean microfiber cloth around a pancake turner. Works well!
