My truck has started self destructing

Went to start it, heard a flopping noise & this was the result. Fortunately it happened at home. Culprit is the water pump. TBD if anything else died in the process.

Ours just eats batteries. It’s on it’s third set in 1.5 years.  It does have like 100k miles worth of idle time on it though.

I had that happend to mine twice. the 2nd belt got tangled under the shield for the timing belt and made it lock up/skip timing. Welp :(

A t least the water pump is driven by the accessory belt , and not th e timing chain!
