That looks like a lot of fun for 600 euros.  Sadly,  for the price, I'd be better served looking for an NA econobox from the same era..

Ooo, would love to! Only downside is that is a 126p BIS, which are cool....but they were the water-cooled version with the rear hatch. The engine in the BIS was known for 2.5L- NA- Subaru- Boxer-4 levels of common head gasket failures....so as awesome as it is, I would rather an air-cooled 126p as

A. More reliable
B. More unique because air-cooled

:P

Thanks for the heads up though...I do love that color, and it would’ve been epic as that’s actually the year I was born, which would’ve been an awesome coincidence! :P

Oh, for sure! You can tell them apart by the rear end and wheel trims. The BIS has an opening rear hatch, but the air-cooled cars have no rear hatch and instead have the flip downward engine cover. BIS also often have rear wipers while air-cooled cars never came with them.
