Shouldn't be too bad. There are shops that specialize in 4wd conversions for the e350 and Express 3500. Shouldn't be that much different.

Cringe.
One really good bump on a trail and the owner is really gonna regret having the conversion done.

As someone who has owned and put many thousands of miles on a Class C, this is such a bad idea.
1. They already handle like crap and are PLENTY tall. Even with upgraded shocks, steering stabilizer, and poly sway bar bushings, a strong cross wind will induce code brown.
2. Most motorhomes have horrific departure angles and very long wheelbases. Making it six inches taller isn’t going to fix anything.
If you’re taking a Class C somewhere you think you need a lift and 4WD you’re already wrong.
That being said, it does look kinda cool.

Although incredibly cool looking
I’m not sure just how off-road worthy a Class C
like this will be;
I would think
not amazingly so. I suspect any place the upgraded hardware would help is going to also be a place where the inherent size of the vehicle will cause problems (height, width,
departure angle, breakover, high center of gravity, etc.)
With that said, when looking for my own sport utility vehicle (in the very
proper sense of the nomenclature)
I took a long, hard look at 4WD E-350 vans. Unfortunately everyone wanted far too much money for them, so I went with a well-used but also much cheaper
Suburban.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

The last one seems about the right size. The others seem way too big do anything off road.

I think they are more front country/ travel to A laska type rigs vs heading to Ushuaia or going to moab..

Im not going to lie...those look awesome! but...they are still built like absoulte terms in the “hotel” area’s. It doesn’t do you much good to have crazy 4x4 gear if your interior is rattled to pieces on 30 miles of washboards.

We play the
pick up the pieces
game every
time we get to a site, and our trailer is a total
pavement princess..

That’s why I laugh at these ‘rent an RV’ companies..
I can barely keep ours in one pi
e
ce after 8 season
s of learning how the switches work, where the water pump is, and just how to set the jack to keep it level and stable..
I can’t imagine;
a) renting one for a week and trying to get it to work, b) how many parts are broken after a season of being a
rental.

Cool. There’s a few shops that do it. I haven’t heard of sportsman, but from what I understand they all use similar parts and do similar modifications. Quigley is the biggest name I am aware of.
Not worth the price to me, but I could see plenty of people doing it (and they clearly have).
