A little surprised nobody’s posted about t his yet. I like it alot. The headlights are a little blobby but overall it’s much less busy and more solid-looking than the current one. And that interior! Check out the t wo-spoke steering wheel!

Too bad we’re probably not getting it in America :(

I don’t know the steering wheel is on the left so that gives it a chance to at least come to Canada or Mexico

Looks nice! Front lip looks “heavily inspired” by the Golf

Looks like a size up from the current one. I see it has typical busy Honda wheel design.

Two spoke steering wheels can be a funny thing if aligned with round gauges, hello :

Wheel on the left suggests heavily that it's either US or EU bound..

It looks better. I like the concept 2-tone. Also I like 2 spoke steering wheels. I don’t have time to read up on it now.

They do sell these in mainland Europe too. Right now Honda’s just being noncommittal about the US, it sounds like they might not have decided yet. So there is some room for optimism, but I’m not getting my hopes up much

looks cool

also, Honda is notably very late when introducing new models. Even near the end of October, their site still has all the 2019 models, when most companies have their 2020's out at least a month by now, sometimes even in the summer

For the Fit, even other countries aren’ t getting it for another 3 months. They should just sell it as a 2021

https://tiremeetsroad.com/2019/10/09/unofficial-honda-fit-discontinued-in-united-states-by-2021/

here’s why:

Honda Fit sales are on a downward trend since 2016’s high of 56,630 Fits sold. 2018, Honda barely moved a little more than half of 2016’s numbers selling just 35,300 Fits. According to Honda’s latest sales figures, fo r September, Honda Fit is already down 16 percent year-to-date.

If they can’t even shift 30k units, I’d wager they’re losing money on it. Looking more and more like FCA and Ford were just ahead of the curve.

(n.b. I am not saying there will be no small-to-midsize cars available on the market in the future.  What I am saying is that the market segment is no longer big enough for everyone to try to play in.  Losing money just so you can vote “present” is not wise business.)

Yeah, I’ve heard the rumors. I don’t see how they can be making any money importing their cheapest model from Japan, so I won’t be surprised if this becomes official.

You have no idea how bummed out I am about it most likely not winding up in the US. I didn’t care for the 3rd gen Fit, and have been patiently waiting for this one. I really like the design and would definitely buy one.

I think the problem with the current Fit is that it just isn’t that great.  Why buy the Fit when you could get the Civic for only a hair more?   Make the Fit a compelling buy, and people would buy it.

I still think the best looking Fit was the 1st gen.

The current gen is one of the deadliest cars on the road.

I’m partial to the 2nd gen my self, particularly the post-facelift Sport.

I love it.

Only thing that bothers me is how the screen, AC vents and things in the center stack are NOT in the center. They’re weirdly offset.
