Spotted this clean little guy this morning. It either came out of someone’s grandparents’ garage, or from somewhere far away, or both. I’ve not only never seen one of these, it has less rust than the average decade-old truck around here.

Kinja'd!!!

A quick google search tells me it’s likely a mid-to-late-80's Dodge Ram 50 variant, a mitsubishi, basically.

What does Oppo know about it?

I had a 1986 Dodge version with the inline-4 cylinder and a manual. Tough as nails. Had “adequate” power for the time, but would s eem REALLY anemic these days.  Loved that truck.

Trivia— the engines (and the whole truck) were all pure Mitsubishi and the large 4 cylinder employed balance shafts to smooth out the engine operation. It was a clever innovation that Porsche had previously licensed from Mitsubishi for use in the 944 motor.

I had a roommate who had one. It was a nice little truck but underpowered by todays standards.  He eventually blew the motor in it and was trying to swap in a 13b rotary. No idea whatever happened with that project.

Triton!

clutch cables are a weak point (for RHD vehicles)

not sure if LHD are cable or hydraulic
