So i noticed a very tiny coolant drip coming from the bottom right corner of the explorers radiator and im trying to weigh my options on fixing it. would throwing some jb weld or flex seal on the affected area be enough or should i replace the entire thing? a new radiator runs like 80 bucks plus install cause im not equipped to do it myself. any other ideas?

Is the leak coming from the seam between an aluminum core and plastic end tank? Sometimes you can pinch those tabs tighter to help stop the leak.

Installing a rad is probably one of the easiest things you can do depending on how its setup in your car. Being up front and things not really blocking it usually makes it an easy bolt on job. Definitely do not try to hack job repair it, its a cheap enough part that is worth replacing, even if you pay for labor. Cooling system is number one after brakes anyways.

Try pinching those tabs tighter.  If that doesn’t fix it, suck it up and replace the radiator.  Remember, they’re under pressure, so if it decides to rupture and blow out all your coolant at once, you can nuke your whole engine in no time.  That’s how my neighbor had to put a new engine in his ‘08 Tundra.  It took an $8k bite out of his ass.

I fixed a powersteering cooler line with jb weld and a large ziptie for reinforcement. THe line was shooting ps fluid out of the grill and onto cars in front of me lol. I f it’s not a line, then probably just replace it.
