Is this the Tall Wagon of private jets? Only a few more millions puts you into narrow-body VIP transport market.

Do you look more baller in a G700 or a 737/A320?

Ye p, I’m still ok with a wealth tax.

The G700 is probably a better buy since you don’t need as much ground crew support, and also, the Ryan Air and Easy Jet planes in the next Jetty aren’t identical to your hallowed business jet.

(I don’t see any integrated stairs in that A320....)

I’m also guessing it’s more fuel efficient given it wasn’t designed to carry more than 150 passengers...

Me too. A wealth tax encourages consumption and more private jet purchases.

for airlines the narrow bodies cost around 7000.... But that’s if it’s flown as much as a commercial jet.... You should probably consider higher costs if it’s not used as much, probably going into five figures.

A G550 costs 7,700 dollars per flight hour if it’s only used 400 hours a year... So I can imagine this one costs a bit less...

But those numbers don’t make any sense since no one would keep their jet to be used 400 hours a year... it’s nothing!

Here, most jets are bought and then “leased” to a company that deals with the maintenance ,inspection, insurance etc and then pays you so that they can rent your jet. You can imagine that in that scenario renting a G700 is much easier than renting an A320 (not that the G700 is easy to rent, most companies rent like, little shits like honda jets)

So, it depends on how the market is in your neck of the woods, if you live near a massive corporate headquarters (like, Walmart’s) maybe you should buy the A320 since it would be cheaper to maintain due to the possibility to rent it... as for any other situation, the G700 probably makes more sense.

Mexico is the second country with the most private jets...
Most of them are registered under corporations, as money making assets (As in, XA-XXX, not XC-XXX like private jets should be registered)

So yeah, a wealth tax is not going to stop someone who has an “advisory” position in some board to have their G700 parked near their home....

Definitely more baller in a private heavy. However, a side from (likely) much lower operating costs, the G700 will slot into more small airports, which is a big benefit when you’re trying to cut down on total travel time. Also, hard to take a pic on the Bluthmobile stairs that looks baller. Rolling the Bentley right up to the stairs on G700 gets all the moneys nice and tight for your Instagram pic.

Individuals don’t own these kinds of vehicles; only corporations intentionally created for the sole purpose of owning these jets. Those corporations are owned by international/ Delaware/Nevada trusts with attorneys acting as the trustee and sole contact, using their firms’ addresses. All completely legal, and designed to keep liability off of the person(s) who put the purchase money up.

I get what you’re saying, like if Microsoft or Amazon owns the jet vs Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos, but the answer is, as you can see, considerably more complicated.

In a way it does have a kitchen too. A hot Ferrari engine is likely a very good thing for engine compartment cooking. There’s even cook books for this.

I have to admit that my first attempt in cooking using the exhaust manifolds of a early 60's Ford fire truck ended up as a major failure.

Know of it, never flown out of it. It’s a pretty busy commercial field as well though, isn’t it? QRO amazes me because it gets like 10  commercial flights a day but the runway’s lined with Lears.

Really, you won’t see many jets using the XB prefix specially on your side of the fence.... You have to pay a yearly tax on XB aircraft (and XA aircraft under 18 seats), so it’s mostly general aviation craft... think Cessans, helicopters and the sort.

Kinja'd!!!

Sometimes, most times, governments don’t actually own the airplanes they use, so it’s common to see politicians using rented aircraft with XA prefixes.

Kinja'd!!!

There was actually a whole scandal around rental planes when Mexico’s former President, Enrique Peña Nieto, was governor of State of Mexico.

I worked for a large company that owned 3. It was such bullshit. deep buried in company protocols, someone found the appropriate travel use guidelines, . minimum 10 employees of bottom rank, with fewer for more important managers . They would hold this large internal meeting and one year it was at our plant in bumfuck. It sucked traveling there as no direct flights, with another 1.5 hour drive just as a parting FU. So we need travel for 14 people denied. the one guy was pissed and being a procurement manager goes and sees jet fuel purchases in Ft lauder dale. We didn’t have facilities anywhere near there . bullshit ceo perk

I’ve heard of long pig. How do I know McRibs isn’t made of people? I dont 100%, but nobody who’ s eaten them have any effects of cannibalism long term, so I think we’re pretty safe. Especially considered how they reported the Hot Coffee Lawsuit, which was presented as a ridiculous parody of the truth.

Kinja'd!!!0

Cannibalism isn’t an illness ... it’s a lifestyle choice. Eating people unknowingly won’t make you crave human flesh ... heck even those that knowingly have eaten it don’t automatically crave it.

Now, if you happen to like hunting people and then consume their flesh ... then you may grow to love the taste because you link the thrill of the hunt with the taste of it.

I like McRibs because of the tangy sauce, the pickles and fresh onion. The bun could be better - a crispy baguette might work. Not sure if I ’d stop eating them if they were found to have a certain percentage of “long pig”.

While the G700 is nice, the Airbus ACJ 320NEO (USD$98m) and Airbus ACJ319NEO (USD$85m) are much larger aircraft.

I’d certainly have an  Airbus over a G700, much more metal for your money.
