Had my phone hooked up to my car while detailing, didn’t crank the engine for like 5 hours straight. Battery went flat and I had to wait for roadside assistance...
But hey, at least Kristin is nice and shiny now.
Got the jump, 30 mins of driving and it fires right up now every time . I think I should get a new battery anyways, it just passed the 5 year mark and I’m starting to get electrical gremlins lately (e.g. sometimes the DIC won’t work unless I turn my headlights off).
Oh well... it’s panel removing time again next year, I suppose.

I thought for a moment it was related to the date thing...

But humans are a primarily gossipy species...

Probably not the phone charging itself that caused it, though if you had to keep the key on to activate the outlet that might do it because a bunch of stuff is powered up in that state . Any lights that were on while the doors were open too would obviously be suspects. The phone itself though, not so much.
Might as well swap it out though. It’s time, especially if you’ve been having load related electrical quirks . Could always have it tested though if you’re feeling thrifty.

Yeah, definitely a good call to get a new battery.

Nah, it’s just a Walmart battery, I could care less about it, lol.
I just have to wait for my Costco friend to return, but he’s back by the time my car’s in storage and on the outlet. So I just need it to start the next 2 days.
So next year Summer it is...

Just to be certain, Kristin is the car, yes? I’d love for a battery to last 5 years out here. My record is just below 3, but I’m hoping the Bosch AGMs I have are the ones that will make it.

Yup... Kristin = Solstice since it’s based on the Kappa platform... heh.

If it’s a car you don’t use frequently or store for long periods of time, get yourself a battery tender.

I do have one. Right now it’s charging my Bimmer and in a few days my Solstice.
