Took a nice ride today in the foothills and the bike performed well. It was not a very hot day, and the bike was fine on the highway and in the hills, but I feel like it ran a little hot in town (some stop and go traffic and signals). Coolant is full and I confirmed no leaks. Do you think I should have it looked at? It is still under warranty.

Toby mourning Scrappy, the UNT mascot we bought him in Denton, for your time.  Even when he isn't in trouble, he makes sure to cover the "I didn't do it" face.

Did you look at what rhe temperature was on the bike? Was it abnormally high?

Digital or analog gauge? Sport bikes run hot and it's nothing to worry about. The first time I saw my VFR hit 220 I panicked. Then I learned Honda doesn't consider "too hot" until 240+.

Did it fee sluggish? Coming from the air cooled world, it’s pretty easy to tell when a bike is running hot based on engine feel. Unless there’s a blockage in your cooling system it would be really hard to overheat a liquid cooled moto. I’ve ridden my old air cooled Hondas in 110+ traffic without overheating them.

You don’t have to worry too much about overheating Motos. These companies cut their teeth building air cooled screamers.

meh, i wouldn’t worry.

it could just be that wind/whatever made you more aware of the heat.
