Honda N600
Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2
Lincoln Mark V
Studebaker Starliner
Toyopet Crown
Volkswagen Type 2 Squareback
ZIL 114
Note: this post is not meant to argue the practicality or morality of restomodding perfectly functional conventionally-powered examples of the above vehicles, but to presuppose that Icon could find derelict specimens of said cool-looking vehicles with powertrains either missing or beyond saving and reincarnate them as modern EVs.

Oh man, an Icon Corvair. I wonder if they’d take payment in redundant organs

Those first two are both Corvair's, the first being a Monza.

Wouldn't they just take your corvair and give you back a 911?

I just want another Corvair lol. Give me a four on the floor, not electric. I’m not tryna make it more dangerous with instant torque to snap you into the ditch

Ahem. J. Ward’s clientele is solidly 1% of the 1%. They are gorgeous, but if you seen the final price tag on his projects, they’ll make a Singer 911 blush.

You have me thinking now.
They should also do a 70s Caddy convertible.

I’d rock the hell out of a Derelict 53 Stud. Lined with houndstooth tweed.

Or build that 70s Escalade some one posted a while ago. Johnathon Ward would knock that out if the park.

That’d be pretty sweet, but I was thinking that ICON/ singer just make the Platonic ideal of whatever car they’re working on. For a corvair, isn’t that just a 911? Doesn’t every corvair, deep down, wish it was a 911?

Not a bad list. I’d like to see more cool looking futuristic late ‘70s and ‘80s cars that were hamstung by automakers not knowing how to deal with efficiency and smog regulations. Get some modern power in those guys.

Put that Greenbriar van on a Unimog chassis! Put batteries in that Squareback, add a widebody kit, suspension upgrades. Put the N600 on a Suzuki Samurai chassis with a Hayabusa motor. We’re done here.

I’d love to see a NSU Ro80 with a modern powertrain. Or a Citroën CX with everything from the C6 somehow incorporated.
