I happened to see a Clarity on the road recently and was struck by this lovely Moonlit Forest Pearl color. I do love me a good green. The car’s still fugly though.

One of these is running around the business complex I work in and I crush on it every time I see it. Dark green looks good on so many things.

I mean, no, it’s not a looker. But at the same time, it’s honestly not THAT bad. Maybe it’s just because I’m looking at it in that green that it looks ok.

The overall design has grown on me, one review said to think of it As a modern Citroen DS, and yeah I guess kinda.
What I can’t get past is
1 those hideous wheels.
2 The Fast thst it’s a Sedan. That heavily raked rear window implies that it would be a liftback, but nope that glass is fixed. So it has about a 6 inch long trunk lid.

My landlord has a white Clarity. I don’t hate it.

I’ve seen the Clarity and it seems to look better in person to me... better than the current gen Mirai.
Also more useful than a Mirai since you can get hybrid and BEV versions... with the hybrid being the best version to get apparently.

I’ll say that certain angles are interesting in a good way to look at, especially up front. And dark colors hide the ugly a little bit, like the black. Agreed the green looks great and I love the maroon color they have too.
Either way it’s a really interesting PHEV and with the Volt gone it’s pretty much the closest option to a BEV you can get while also having an ICE backup. It’s also a much bigger and nicer car than the Volt on the inside and is very, very close to being a do it all family car (outside of any sportiness, of course) .
Having turned my Spark EV lease in 2 weeks ago this is the top contender for my next commuter (so I’m trying desperately to get used to the ugly) ...if I can actually find one. Was already hard enough to find in stock, and apparently for 2020 now it’s becoming order only so its days might be numbered too.

You know, maybe I’m weird. I actually rather like the styling of the Clarity.
But to your point, yes that is a fantastic green

I think the clarity is one of the better looking sedans on the market today.

It also came in a really nice medium blue color similar to your E92. I think it got replaced this year with the green you saw.

I love green, too, but that green is a fail, IMHO. And Honda’s got some ugly cars these days.

We need to make green great again, and this shade is a good way to do it.

The bit that bugs me is there is no fillet for the wheel cover. The straight line looks out of place

I didn’t buy this car for its looks. But I really don’t understand why everybody hates it. I bought it because of its 45 mile battery .

A friend has one, the trunk opening is near-useless and, though the seats fold down, the passthrough is about 1' tall and 3' wide. Really should be a liftback.

It’s the main reason I’d take a Prius over one.
