So if you swipe to the right from the far left hand side of the touch pad, to the right, the screen shrinks to a postage stamp and I have to bring it back. Really annoying. What is this feature called? Can I make it stop?

You could make it stop by getting a Mac, but that comes with different issues. I don't always provide the best solution, just a solution.

It’s called gestures - just go into your touchpad settings and you should be able to turn them off

The function described was exactly taken from a Mac.
