At least Hyundai didn’t town down the pops on the TCR version. It sounds pretty good!
Now, if only my local Hyundai dealer didn't suck and would let me test drive the production Veloster N, I could see if it drives as well as it sounds. It already looks much better than the Civic Type R.

Considering that the Veloster N ranks higher than the GTI and Golf R on my list of "adult cars I'm considering in the near future", help might be well-advised. But for as much as I like the N, my Hyundai dealer does the company no favors.

It is quite fast. A guy autocrosses a stock N in my local region, it does a tripod!

I’d prefer the i30N to the Veloster N, but I’ll take what I can get. In the States, our hot hatch options are limited.
Also, you can get this:

this is true... tho.. really you want to be not in the netherlands if your going to buy a hot hatch
they all start around 50-60 grand euros here courtesy of our emissions taxes

Are there no other dealers within driving distance? I got an offer sheet from my local dealer and sent texts of it to other dealers in the area to start the bidding. Came away with PP in performance blue at 1400 under invoice. And it is by far the most fun I’ve ever had in a car. That bastard is absolutely GLUED to the pavement. Fair warning, it will make you disappointed with other automakers . I cannot believe that it’s 2019 and Hyundai is the brand that somehow nailed it - driving dynamics , independent chassis/powerplant control, great UI, car play, keyless entry, lumbar support, that exhaust - all for less than 30 grand. The rumored “pure” 2020 manual m3 might as well just start garnishing my wages now but I'm like 100% positive something about it is going to suck compared to this car and I'm gonna be sad about it.

They are amazing to drive. I have a red one with Performance Package. It changes direction like an RC car.
