What do you think asking price is? No cheating.
Here’s another not-cheap car I spotted today. I’d personally take the E30, but it’s very close.

Honestly I find the old kinja bugs like photo flipping somewhat endearing. Now these newfangled modern kinja bugs on the other hand....

I think you're the closest so far. I'll ask them next time I'm at the dealership

The market has coiled off but not that much. Great time of year to be a buyer. Any reasonably clean E30M3 under 200k is $35-40.
An E30 is on deck for me. Hoping it’s a wagon but would settle for a 325

Prepare you’re wallet for certain weight loss should you get one. Also prepare for a willingness to empty said wallet, e30's are that much fun. Dear god make sure its a 3 pedal though. The Getrag 5 speed is half of what makes my car so much fun to drive.

I thought these were dumb-looking when they came out, and I still think they are. Any other brand would be lambasted for the afterthought of a spoiler and half-assed widebody work. I don’t mind sharing an opinion that I’ve held for 30 years, since I can count those on one hand.
The E30 M3 is the ultimate nerd car, much like the R32/33 Skyline. Your significant other will call you an idiot, but all your guy friends will develop a sudden crush on you.

Is it on BaT? Then $75k because it’s one of seventeen in that particular red with some random interior option.
If it’s at a regular old dealer, then $38k.

My car budget already has stage 4 weight reduction. I’ve have owned an E46M3 for what will be 13 years in January. Then I went ahead and bought a 1975 BMW 1502 hot rod last year.
I’m 3 months in to a “one year no more cars, unless I sell one” promise to my wife and I don’t think I can part with any. I just bought my “dd”, the M3 I have put my heart, soul, and life savings into, and the old Bimmer is just the fuckin’ titties! I drive it more often than my “dd”. So I’m in a fantastic, but locked position for now.
Definitely will be a 3 pedaler. All of our cars are, even my wife’s 2017 Forester (really tough to find).
Run me down on yours, if you wouldn’t mind. Year/trim, how long have ya had it years/miles, maintenance you did, upgrades you did, shop or self wrench? Finally how much do you love it?

Truer words never spoken. My 5spd E34 was the most entertaining car I’ve ever put on daily duties. The old 250,000 mile shifter had the precision of a spatula in spaghetti, but it would take no-lift-shifts, clutch dump induced tail slides and speed shifting without ever batting an eye.

‘89 325i 303500km, on its 3rd tranny (first one had no 3rd gear when I bought it, 2nd trans was crap, 3rd times the charm!). I’ve had all the mechanical bits sorted over the years to the tune of $12 000 (engine rebuild, suspension, brakes, bushings, electrical ect.). Most of the issues I’ve had were caused by a short in the wiper motor, which cooked 7, yes 7 CPU’s, which are not easy to find. In finally getting that sorted, found and cured pretty much everything else shy of a driver seat and body work.
I have had the car for almost ten years now, and will still have it when I die in 100 years!

Awesome! I’m actually looking for a cosmetically well sorted one with a shot engine or sans engine. I’ve got plans for a M20 ITB build. I’m obsessed with side draft carburetors after learning about them/tweaking the two on my 1502. I can’t get enough of the sound. It’s the sound of a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder getting 11 mpg

40- 50K depending on mileage and condition. More if showroom condition and under 50k miles.
