Days 9 and 10 were spent in the wine region of Sonoita/Elgin, AZ. Unfortunately the only picture I have on my phone is of a sunset
Day 11 was spent in Tucson visiting with old friends. The view from our hotel wasn’t bad either.
And day 12 has been spent on the road driving to Albuquerque with a stop at the Gila Cliff Dwellings. I didn’t take any pictures on my phone there, but did take this shot of the road in. It was a fantastic drive in and out through the Gila National Forest. We took highway 15 in and 35 to 152 out. If you’re ever in the area at least take highway 152 instead of the freeway. The cliff dwellings are really neat but it adds another 1.5 hours of driving to get in and out from it.

Cool, you were in my neck of the wood (so to speak). You did that right by taking 15 to the Cliff Dwellings and then 35/152. You get the best parts of the roads doing it that way.

It certainly is one of the best drives I’ve done. Too bad it was in a Yukon
