...at my new favorite track: Summit Point Shenandoah Circuit. Very nice and technical track, plus it has a replica of the Nurburgring’s Karou sel!

Ahh, Shenny is a great track! And you’re pitted right about where I was when I tracked the bike there years ago.

It’s a smidgen too tight for my tastes. Have you tried the Main track yet? Th e highers speeds & looooong straight make it much more fun. T1 is bumpy and T4 is scary though.

I don’t have high hopes, but next spring I should finally be able to get the shoe out there on track. Only track driving I’ve ever done was the Richard Petty experience at new hampshires Nascar track (forget the name).
Been trying to get to a point where I had enough money and a healthy Z3 and next spring I should finally be able to do it. Also hoping to do a hillclimb or two with it for fun.
What car did you take and how did it go? Hope it was fun!

I haven’t tried main. I only have njmp to compare to, and I like Shenandoah’s elevation changes and density. What do you drive? I can see a bigger more powerful car being constrained here.

I run bikes. The NJMP tracks are n’t bad, but everything else about the place annoys me. T he obnoxious tolls and drive through Philly to get there, and the commie gas-pumping policies of the state, and so on and so forth .
I recommend taking the drive to PittRace if you get a chance, it’s well worth the trip.

It was super fun! I took that Estoril M3/ 4/5. The event was a HPDE run by NJ BMWCCA, and it was fantastic: 2 days of track time with instructors, 4 run sessions per day, plus skid pad. It rained the 2nd day, but rainy track time is still fun track time.
That’s awesome, I bet the shoe will be great on track. Where do they have hill climbs?

They have a bunch of them in PA, it was a big thing way back in the day. Some up by reading, some by Hershey, giants despair is a big one, and I think one is actually at the track you’re at.
That M3 is sexy
