Especially when the heat and AC still work. If I hadn’t just bought a truck I’d be on my way to VA.

Too much for an e in my opinion.

I’d say NP actually, and if I didn’t have my Jaguar would definitely be interested.

I agree, E or not. This car is perfect daily driver material, especially with the AC functioning . That in itself is worth something.

What does e mean? i is fuel injected, right, so this has carburetors?
I LOVE my 85 Jaguar though. Like this, i t’s just the right condition- has actually been pretty reliable but not really valuable so I drive it a ton. AC works in mine too ha.

The e stands for eta, which is the efficiency model. It is fuel injected with a long stroke 2.7L inline six. It is a low revving torquey engine.

Truth. It’s the economy model like pizzaman09 said. That doesn’t bother me though. I’m parting out my E34 525i and have an M50/5spd combination I’d happily drop in down the road. My main concern is overall condition and turn key, daily drivability and that’s something this E28 has going for it. I’d buy a pristine 2.3 fox body before burdening myself with a rot box 5.0 because a drivetrain swap doesn’t deter me. I’d have bigger plans if I bought this car, but would happily enjoy it for what it is until I had a good reason to swap things out.
Also, speaking of Jags. Man! I’ve been pining for an X300 era XJR or a V12 XJS forever. Those are two of my favorite cars of all time so I can’t dispute holding onto the cat and enjoying it.
