The puddle is unfortunate.

Id love to know the amount of maintenance that was done to keep this on the road for 93000 miles.

IIRC, the 4.3 wasn’t that unreliable, it was just too little to late because of the 5.7.

$6,500 for a gag is  bit steep.

I do. Not at that price though.

Shave $3k off and we could probably make it work.

Probably not much. The 4.3 diesel didn’t suffer the same shortcomings as the 5.7 diesel.

My father drove 2 5.7 liter diesels to 125,000 miles, here is what was needed to do that, Al ways buy fuel at high volume truck stops, the Olds has no water separator, Always use diesel Oil for the Oil Changes the same stuf big rigs use, Replace Headbolts every 40,000 miles.

oooo that’s the LS2!!!!!!!!!!!!

No really, they called that engine LS2

In fact, that diesel was so awesome they paid tribute to it by naming a later LS-based engine LS2

Yup, sloppy practices like that are what killed GM

If I had some spare money, I’d buy it just to make a YT video trolling “LS2 powered Oldsmobile 98"

Just think of all the parking lots of dinner theaters and moderately priced buffet restaurants that has graced in its 34 years of life.
