But what’s touching is that my 8th graders love me enough that they see where I’m at  and they are being very cooperative. No, I will not trade jobs with you.

I do not, under any circumstances, want to be responsible for a group of 8th graders.

If you could get yourself into the right frame of mind, the 8th graders might be more entertaining.

But we tried using 8th graders to staff a Whitehouse administration and the results are not conclusive.

When I began teaching, 16 years ago, I felt the same way. Now? I don’t want anybody else.

It really is something you have to be cut out for so that everyone’s not miserable. And the actual cutting can take many years. Certainly beats having a real job*.

*I love trolling teachers with that statement because I never said that teachers don’t earn their salaries, only that we don’t have “real” jobs.
