this
today. For $8 million CAD, you think they would’ve, I don’t know, not done this when building it? I don’t know if they already had finalized plans and the city said they couldn’t cut the tree down, but it looks incredibly stupid.

Of course there’s an 8 in the price. Surprised it wasn’ t 8.8MM or 8.788MM etc (realtors play that game on the west coast). Maybe it is seen as less patronizing if the leading digit is something else.
Oh yeah, CP.

It’s actually $7.98 million, but you know, what’s $20k at this point?

A significant amount of property sales in my area, sometimes approaching 50% dependent on neighborhood (or so goes the claims) are to offshore cash buyers. It’s a huge thing, this is Vancouver Part II, and I don’t mean that in a good way.
No real questions about the origins of money, of course.

I mean, the Bridal Path is in the same ward of the city. It’s been absurd McMansion hell for a while here.

He protests so much, yet Jared is out selling pay-for-play residency. Love it.

Yeah that area was always tony but not wildly so. It
was for poseurs who couldn’t afford to live in Bridle Path. The people who shopped at Eaton’s or Simpsons
instead of Holt Renfrew.

I like to think so, but I sense a minor deflation rather than a pop. When it’s more than domestic demand and doesn’t require federally backed mortgages, it can be different.

Foreign nationals buying residency, hiding illicit capital, and laundering money through real estate. It’s a huge thing in Vancouver, and has moved south:
