Customer called and said his bushings were getting worn out and asked how much it would be for us to install bushings he bought on Amazon.
I gave a bid to actually properly fix his truck. He wanted to drive it to Texas in 2 days and also be towing another vehicle behind it. He didnt like my bid and had to call a tow truck to remove his truck from our yard.

A gentleman came into our business for a new wheelcover. He just had his tire replaced after hitting a pothole and blowing out his old one and losing the wheelcover. We offer to install it for him, but he declines because he wants to make sure they put the lugnuts back on tight enough. He procedes to get the lug nut wrench out of the back of his car and jump up and down on it on each of the lugnuts. He then walks back into our showroom with two broken off lug nut studs in his hand and asks if we think it will be alright...

The MKVII drain plug cracks me up. I love the tool somewhere for it as it was a few bucks and figured why not .But everyone is acting as if the sky is falling. Maybe people should go back and look at all the stripped drain plug posts...

that Continental looks like it might be at the Design Aid garage in PDC. Whoever took that photo must not need their job very badly.
edit: apparently not, I read further down that it’s @ a dealer in CA.

that drain plug design actually seems like a good idea, provided the slot is deep enough to keep it on the screwdriver once it’s free.
kind of like the drain plug used on the 2.7 EcoBoost and 6.7 Powerstroke:

The only difference is that it *needs* a special bit for you to torque it properly and not drop it. It was not designed to be used with a screwdriver.
I can see a screwdriver fucking it up over time. Yet another reason not to have your oil changed by the lowest bidder.

T ook me a minute, too. It’s like a game. Every time I visit JRitS, I open up a bunch of posts, and start closing them one by one until something catches my eye. And I don’t close each tab until I understand what I’m looking at. In this particular case, I had to read the post title to figure it out. Now I can’t unsee it haha.
