This is, in all likelihood, the last hour of 90° weather Indiana will see for 8 months. Decided to start my work day early so I could escape to Lake Monroe this evening.
It’s been a mostly pretty good summer. I just wish ‘tweren’t over.
(Adding a photo or two as the evening proceeds.)

It is a glorious 78 degrees in Southern NM right now. Less than hotter than balls temperatures are making me want to do all the things outside now. We’re done with the 90's for the year, and shouldn’t see them again until April. Good riddance.

I’m not sure what it was this morning when I left but there was a hard freeze so it was probably 30 degrees or so. Relatively balmy!

We had some hot days in northern Illinois a few days ago...it’s been dreary and rainy ever since. It’s not even going to be super hot in so Illinois this weekend.
Side note: There’s a gambler happening in NW Indiana next month!

Today, we set a record high of 93 degrees. Tomorrow, the high is 59. Talk about an abrupt change of seasons.

This summer has been an amazingly full one. One of the best summers and one of the worst simultaneously. Im just so thankful for the time ive had and have made a conscious effort to appreciate the beauty of nature this summer and fall. Not looking forward to winter but Im looking forward to what the next year holds.

I drive a Jeep in part so I don’t have to shovel!

Yep. I need to get the top on before it gets too cold and doesn’t stretch properly.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Not much longer.

I’m definitely not a Gambler sort of guy. Hate mud and don’t like to fix cars (well, don’t have money skills tools or a place. Or a back. ).

I read that as “MN” and got really confused.
I think I’d love summers in the Southwest, but that might be a delusion.

For the 5 minutes each year it’s warm enough!

I'm over them. They may be dry, but they're still hotter than balls. We get 90+ temps from April to October.

I had a very good summer. My new dog and I went on four backcountry trips together, I took one car camping trip alone, we went to two Oppo meets and I went to two more two-person meets.
How was yours?

There’s a lot of different degrees of NM, which is to say it is a big state with a whole bunch of different climates. Las Cruces in Southern NM at 4000ft in elevation is a completely different climate than some place like Santa Fe at 7000ft in elevation. In Las Cruces we have a climate similar to Tu cs on, but Santa Fe is a place that gets in regular snow in the winter and where you could own a car without A/C and be comfortable for all but the hottest part of the year.
