Great looking car, but what’s the Mille Miglia sticker doing on there? I guess they could have driven the route in a tour , but only pre-1955 cars can run the rally.

My guess is that a few of these were not “earned”.
This is a curated collection, with planned placement.

At least there’s not a turbo badge on it! (looks at listing to make sure)

I’ve been considering submitting a Taycan
design to Blipshift with “
turbo
” written above it...

I’m telling you, man. These stickers padded the sale like 5 grand. LOL

Yeah, well, it’s got a knife-edge crank, so it’s NP.
Stickers? I don’t know what they add but some stonkin’ nostalgia.

Well, a c c o r d i n g t o o n e o f t h e d o c uments the original paint was Irish Green. The same . . . build sheet? mentions a “Webasto 006 177" option. Maybe a petrol heater ?
I don’t dislike the stickers - the ones on the window, that is. But if you combine those to the rest all over the car... it’s a bit much. Although I acknowledge they seem to have been placed in “period” style.

Maybe the owner was thinking of the Targa Florio and got confused? (

If we are talking about Porsche and the TF let me go off on a tangent, so to speak:
Those Targa Florio 906s fascinate me.

Back to TF 911s – more specifically, of the RSR variety.
This is a fascinating thread: the build of an extremely accurate replica of car 107 from the ‘73 TF (80 pages long):

Unfortunately it seems all or most of the Photobucket images are not visible now. Last year I was certainly able to see them. Maybe if you register... I have just tried, but there is an approval period so I don’t know yet whether that would let me see them.
An article on the car:
