Or... Whatever. I thought the Mansinthe was good but the Kubler is on another level. Not a bad end to a crap day/ week.

I too have had a crap week at work. I am celebrating with a bit of my everyday whiskey. Salut!

What is your everyday whiskey?

Seagram’s 7. I put a splash of vermouth in it to make an ad hoc Manhattan.

Interesting. That sounds... Terrible. But I'll still give it a go. I've been on a 1776 rye kick, but haven't found a cheap whiskey I like since Jim Beam killed their middle tier.

The first absinthe I tried was Green Tree. It was okay. Then I bought a bottle of Kubler and also found it far superior. Have you tried St. George before? G reat and crafty.

Lol. It’s not so terrible. It’s palatable and affordable. Won’t win any awards, but it gets me ready for bed. Jim Beam is fine, but doesn’t taste right in a Manhattan.

I may have to join you both with a cheap bottle of Jameson.

I’ll keep an eye out for it! My only complaint with Kubler, aside from not being green, is the flavor is not very strong. This, unfortunately, makes me tend to mix it a little stronger than others. The Mansinthe is really good too as long as you’re not comparing it to Kubler side by side haha

If memory serves,
The S
t. George was rich with a diverse mix of flavors. It was “fine”.

Oh man, I haven’t gone on an absinthe bender since college. Unfortunately my drinking buddy lives in NC now.
I don’t remember the brand we would get, but I’d probably recognize the bottle. Shit’s expensive but at 140 proof goes a long way.
