Why aren’t you ordering more of these amazing olives? I’m sure as hell not going to buy a jar from Amazon for $35 when you were selling the same size for $8. I guess I’m going to have to make these last two jars last a few months, but the way I indulge in these delectable morsels I know that this is not going to happen...

Most good european/mediterranean markets should have this type of olive in the deli section. Maybe not that exact brand, but a good fresh green Italian olive. I have bought them at Italian, German, French, Greek, Turkish, Bulgarian, Syrian, Romanian, Croatian and Spanish markets... pretty much anywhere there’s a store that serves an immigrant population from those areas. A good cheese shop should have them too. I still don’t understand why more mainstream North American supermarkets don’t regularly carry that style of olive though, they’re so damn tasty.

I did see them over at a higher-end market today, but I think that they were $3.99/lb. My local international market has all sorts of olives, but I’ll have to check again to see if they have Castelvetranos; I think they might, but only in the small jars that cost not much less than the huge Costco jar.
I need to head waaay out to the west county area to one of my favorite middle eastern/Indian markets to see if they have any. I just don’t get out that way very often, but for a deal on these I might just do it.

Costco has really started to screw me over on items that I have bought for years. They recently stopped carrying 1 percent milk, which really ticked me off.

No more 1%? Really? That’s insane. Or is 1% the 89 octane of milk...
Back in California I had to buy two gallons of milk at a time, but here in STL I was pleasantly surprised that I could just buy a gallon if that’s all I want.
They only have these olives on occasion; I’m assuming it’s just when they get a good deal on them. I did put a request in their suggestion/comment box, but I doubt much will come from that (unless they look at my account and see how many jars I’ve bought in the last 6 months...)

I find them a bit oily.

That’s the best thing about them
