fucking front left brake locked on on the lexus and tried to throw me off of a fucking offramp at 60mph so that’s COOL AS SHIT. And of course nobody sells calipers or rebuild kits in town so I’m getting a ride to LKQ tomorrow where I know there is an IS300 sedan with brakes on it. Fucking christ I Need More Beers.

Oooof. I had an old jetta that I slammbered on ebay coilovers and wheels form some shady guy on craigslist. I was coming in to work one day and the whole caliper fell off one of the front wheels. The brake line kept it from being completely removed and I later found my brake pads in a pothole. Thankfully it was stick shift and the e-brake worked so I could get it to work but christ that was not a fun week while I tried to find the hardware for the caliper.

The teal paint grew on me. Whoever owned this in the past did a bunch of fairly harmless cosmetic “mods” (teal paint on the calipers, eyelids on the original headlights) and the brakes were one that I ended up kinda liking.
