I really like the new supra, but im totally against those gaping huge front air intakes (not only on the supra, but in most modern cars).

Just with a front bumper mod, I believe this looks really really awesome.

Also, this goes on to show how much MKIV dna is in the new 2020 design.

I’m sure there will be a plethora of aftermarket kits for it, and at least one of them will simplify things to a more 90s look.

Hopefully, as I really like the design of the whole car, its just the front bumper cover what I dont like (exactly how I felt with the FT-1)

I have a feeling this will ruin the Supra mark for me, the same way the RX-8 ruined the RX mark for me. But I’m waiting to see one in person to officially decide how I feel about it.

Hmm... I dont know, im pretty happy with the outcome, its refreshing to see an affordable halo car again.

And if it has BMW depreciation, I can see myself achieving to buy one at some point in life.

That’s a nice improvement, though I still wish the window line wasn’t so harsh. Body-color A -pillars might help as well so the roof didn’t look like a random slab cantilevered off the back.

I agree with the affordable halo car. And I’ve no doubt it will be a fantastic sports car. I just mean in terms of overall design.

Although, you’re right about the idea that a subtle, tasteful body kit to make it look more like a natural evolution of the Supra might save it. It just feels overly designed for the sake of nothing to me. Again, gotta see it in person to really know what how it looks so I’m hoping they’ll have one at CAS.

I’d imagine it’s going to be a bit of time before we see serious depreciation, but time will tell.

Yeah, im with you there, but with this edit I made, I have a lot of faith in this design seeing as only that really makes it waaay more handsome , hopefully the aftermarket does its wonders on the new supra.

Do new cars really have aftermarket kits anymore? Short of 7k rocketbunny or other outrageously priced  kits

Depending on the car itself, usually its just lip/addons to the stock bumper, but with the 3d printed stuff becoming more and more common I can see a thriving aftermarket for this car.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...this is a nope for me.

Enlarging those l ittle vents at the oute r edges of the headlights was the wrong choice IMO. They’re redundant with the MkIV side vents which are the full width of the front of that car.

Well, what really got me was that, apart from the front bumper, the rest of the vehicle truly looks good and Supra-esque.

Also, if it happens to be unrealiable the possibility of finding a thrashed one for dirt cheap increases a lot, which makes me hopeful I can someday own a Supra, at least the MKV lol

I dunno bout that, I envisioned the central mouth for radiator/ac cooling. side ones for intercoolers a la GTR and the ones under the headlights for brake cooling.

Also, the idea is to tone down the current design while making it more MKIV alike, not just putting an MKIV front end on to it as its way less realistic.

Why is this so hard for the auto makers and designers ? I feel like there are a number of cars that are just a facelift away from being design classic and not absolutely bashed and degraded.

Looking at you GM...

I mean this was someones quick rendering of the Camaro (for get the user on Jalop, sorry) but greatly improves over the current face lift.
