Tomorrow is hopefully one of the last three semesters of my college life and acquiring my engineering degree. I’m more than ready to get back to the school grind, and be even more sociable and alive.

08th MS Team reporting in!
It gets my vote as “Most metal gundam series” due to the literal realism they show (they have lots of shots of maintenance and improvised repairs throughout the series) but also for this scene where the main character, out of weapons and out of options, rips the arm off his mobile suit to beat the enemy officer down with since the enemy focused elsewhere for a moment, thinking he was unarmed. An d well, he *was* just not quite in the same way he was thinking.

Any Gundam reccomendations? I saw Iron Blooded Orphans and loved it, but other than that... Nothing

My favorite is War in the Pocket (it’s just a six episode OVA, so it’s not a big time commitment )
SEED has my favorite mecha design, and is a good show overall, but takes a while to get going. Zeta is also good in that regard.
The first episode of the Unicorn OVA has some of the best animation anywhere, but I don’t really think the rest holds up (I think they repacked into a longer series, but I haven’t watched that).
IBO takes great pleasure in upending certain Gundam traditions, so it’s difficult to say what it’s most like. Maybe , though that show is pretty out there in different ways as well.
Gundams I do not recommend at all:
ZZ
Victory
Wing

Enjoy the last semesters of college! Tons of good engineering jobs in this area, that’s what I do!

It depends on what you enjoy in Anime. Gundam Wing is what you’d consider basic Anime. Over the top designs, unstoppable beasts and minor dialog. It is mindless fun.
Seed was fun, but man...the crying started getting to me after a bit. Also, everyone knew each other and was related...it got a bit silly. Some of the best characters from Season 1 were bit characters in Season 2 (such as Zach).
Unicorn was very meh. It was a rehash of almost every Gundam story. Reluctant
hero given ultimate weapon, but is a pacifist. Seriously...give it to me. I will go smash shit and end the war in an afternoon in this unstoppable death machine!
Original Gundam stories are dated, but still fun.
Gundam 00 is very similar to Seed in terms of story, but closer to Wing in terms of unstoppable death machines. I liked 00 a lot. It was fun.
Iron Blooded is either one of my favorites or that one I am not sure where to rank. It was awesome in storytelling and combat, but the ending of Season 2 came outta damn nowhere. It was like watching your house of cards come collapsing down because your cat jumped on the table. But it had one of the funniest moments in Anime history for me in Season 1.

Unversal Century is BEST century. Anything from 0079-Unicorn great IMO. also recommend the two seasons of 00.

There’s absolutely nothi ng wrong with ZZ. Excluding the first couple episodes and the New Moon arc (filler), it was the relatively cheery and entertaining sequel to Zeta that didn’t kill everyone and end on a bleak note.

I only got a few episodes in, but I really couldn’t stand it for whatever reason.

It’s a late bloomer. That’s it’s biggest flaw. It gets better after the Argama leaves Shangri-La.
and 100 more
