“How the fuck is THIS worth that much?!?”
Exhibit A, this 2018 F350 Platinum with an 80k window sticker. I get it that it’s the top of the line Ford truck trim...but still, eighty fucking thousand dollar MSRP? The trade in value for this particular truck was $61k.
Exhibit B is this 2015 Dodge Charger R/T that is barely optioned with a 35k MSRP. Utterly insane as you don’t get any leather, no navi, no sunroof.

my F150 is a lowly XLT (granted a pimped out one) and its sticker was around $50k

For big trucks, it’s either A) a company purchase, so there’s a lot more wiggle room, because nobody wants to pay corporate taxes, or B) oil/ frack money from a young guy with no bills.
As for the Charger, sticker is $35k, but there’s probably $7k stacked on the hood.

The lease on our 2015 super duty 4x4 F350 is $1,021/month. We are turning it in and keeping the Explorer at $120/month. These are work vehicles, I’d never buy a super duty.

oil/frack money from a young guy with no bills.
Can confirm this is a true statement; knew several people with high dollar trucks.

Yea, the STI I test drove last week stickered at 40k. No leather, manual seats, no optional armrest. I know, I know - it’s an STI. But still. Inflation is a bitch.

I think it may make more sense for a truck to cost that much than a luxury sedan. You’re getting a lot more physical stuff for the money with a huge truck. Especially when that truck also has fancy technology stuff in it.

The truck is over priced but considering the Charger is right on for the average new car price, meh. Their is a ton of stuff in it that wasn’t 40 years ago.

Does anyone pay sticker on a truck? Whenever I get bored and look at some dealer website, I ’m always amazed at how much they are marked down.
