Ugh, I’m not sure I want to know. You can get 3 feet of black plastic tubing for like $5.99, put some nice bends in it with a heat gun, and if you can’t re-use the rubber connectors, the parts store probably has an assortment hiding behind the counter. “Genuine BMW part” my ass.

It’s a coilpack for a 5.7 Hemi. Which uses two plugs per cylinder. Like so:

HEY! It would be perfectly easy if they didn’t stick the engine all the way up against the firewall!

And under a strut brace !

With the A/C hard lines running smack against the cover on the passenger side!

And the IPM and fuse box in the way on the driver’s side!

And the push-before-release connectors!

Other than that, it’s an easy ten minute job !

(Really it’s not that bad, but, yeah. It. Is. Expensive. $125+ just for the plugs , then $380+ for the packs.)

More like the 7200lbs of towing without every repair being a minimum $2k and a maximum of 12 months apart. If you can find a single shop that will even work on the CRD 3.0. And don’t completely frag the cylinder head.

Still, I can’t complain that much. Plugs due every 65k, coils “if they break.” This one’s done 160k on two sets of plugs and the original coils. I just want my basically f ree* 10HP and 15ft/lbs.

* - the DUI SOS coilpacks are $380 for the set, Mopar 68238603AA would be $365 after tax. 1ft/lbs per dollar? Yes please .
