Taking that statement at face value and ignoring the “high ground clearance and 4x4 only” sign resulted in going halfway up a mountain off-road track in a Lexus station wagon. It did admirably before I turned around because the rocker-panel-and-tire-destroying rocks became larger and more numerous. Got many confused looks from all of the lifted Jeeps and 4runners coming up the trail as we slowly trundled our way back down.
Pictured here is the proper tool for the job

I don’t know, Jeep app arently thinks driving up a waterfall is problematic enough that they’d prefer to build their own fake one:

There’s one of those “high-clearance vehicles only, 4x4 recommended” trails close to home going to a trailhead . I didn’t feel the need to engage 4x4 at any point, despite the open rear diff, in my MJ. It’s probably a bit rougher than your typical commuter would want to tackle, but there’s pretty frequently a rental Fit or Yaris parked at the other end of it. The local cab company also offers to run you out in a standard minivan.

Me;”jake really doesn’t do dumb stuff anymore” 10 minutes later nevermind he went off roading in a wagon with zero clearance.

Yeah my problem was when it got steep enough and craggy enough that my LSD was getting a workout and traction was becoming an issues. I was worried about my tires more than anything and the fact this thing has to drive me 13 hours back home.

I’m gonna break 100,000 by the time I get home. I got it with 94k on it.

I drive a lot. I’m making a maintenance list. Rear bushings, front shocks (probably rear shocks too but eeeehhhhhh), radiator, front brake rotors, the entire exhaust system is rusty, there’s a body control module code for the light sensor, and the auto-up function on the window isn’t working likely due to a faulty microswitch in the regulator.
Also I really REALLY want to throw some eibach sway bars on it. The turn-in is frankly bullshit.

My rear brakes squeak once in a while, that’s about all I got going on.
Why a new radiator? Are you running a little warm?

Plastic is turning brown which means it’s getting a bit brittle.

Tires, not sway bars

Tires would help my handling more , but sway bars make it feel nicer. I want it to feel nicer, lol. Stupid thing corners on its door handles.

Tires for turn in, sway bars for body roll.

Sway bars 100% help with turnin and feel.
