The Volvo exists.

I am interested in the Volvo.

I got in touch with the Volvo seller. He is responsive.

We set up a time and I made plans to see it. Plans change and now it’s not so convenient. But I think I might have to go alone since it’s in a pretty swanky part of town near, I shit you not, the Brady Bunch House.

This is like millennial dating or something.

Anyway, go or wait for a friend and do this in one shot? This is going to be really interesting or really boring.

I don’t think it’s likely that old Volvos are good lures for dangerous scams, so it seems like more about whether you want someone to give you input or keep you from hyping yourself up too much over the car (of course do tell someone you’re going and don’t carry a lot of cash if you can avoid it ) .

I’d say go and check it out yourself, just maybe avoid taking anything of too much value with you, and make sure people know when and where you are going.

One other thing, I don’t think I’ve ever met a Volvo owner that I thought might rob me.

B eware of the odometer. Watch it closely during your test drive for sporadic behavior. Failures are very common .

Do it! Doubt this is what brings the suckers in. Well, not the kind of sucker scammers would be looking for.
