Dispatched to a driveby shooting today. Damage to home and cars. Unfortunately an extremely common occurrence in this part of Vancouver.

Drivebys must be the most Oppo method of attempted murder.  Especially if done from a Miata or wagon.

Had a high school baseball teammate murdered in a drive by shooting. The guy sprayed a whole group of kids leaving a party.  Scary shit.

What? It’s not ‘armored’ at all! It just has some weight increasing mods to help improve handling around the track, that’s all. We wanted to put the very heavy plating on the bottom, but the car sits too low and there is no room. The roof wouldn’t have worked either because the plating would have crushed the pillars and made the car unsafe. Surely you can see our predicament, officer.

The intended target was the group of kids. A group of dudes  tried to get into a party they weren’t invited to (no one even knew who they were). They came back and shot at everyone as they left the party. Three other kids were seriously injured.

I was being facetious. I have a vested interest in the US and believe that despite her flaws, the vision of the founding fathers was that of equality and freedom for all and that it can and has been coming to fruition. I totally agree.  I think that people, in every country, need to a) recognize the flaws in their nation b) look at what you like about other nations and c) do what you can to guide your country, even in small ways, towards that goal.

Middle of nowhere sask is one of my favourite places in Canada. I’ve camped, presumably on people’s property, near the highway, and what I get in return for trespassing is a friendly wave and “ good morning” from them in their tractor going by.

Also stopped to heat up some soup, probably on someone else’s property, and, again, from a passing tractor, “hiya, enjoy your lunch!”
