How much are these  going for? I stumbled on this while looking at 900 turbo convertibles so I wasn’t researching them specifically.  They want $5k for it which seems a bit steep.

That’s steep. 5 to 6K would get you a perfect example of a 1970's model basically. A fair to good driver would be in the 3K range. If it needs work to be driven (ie. brakes, tires, axle boots, common stuff that need to be replaced) or has obvious need of future work (whiny trans, major rust, etc.) then 1.5-2K would be more like it. They all tend to whine slightly in 3rd and fourth, but not so loudly that you can’t ignore it. If it whines in lower gears then a rebuild is called for.
