Appliances, winter tires, new bed, impending furniture buys, I have a lot to do without a lot of cash. This is going to be a fun few months. Also, dealership quoted me $1700 for winter tires and rims without installation. Hard pass.

Ha, this might be the most appropriate picture to describe adulting that I’ve ever seen.
Good luck with everything.

I appreciate it. I’ll be okay. Just looking at numbers and going “hoo boy”. I’ve never planned on spending so much money before, so it’s a little daunting.

Hm. Have you looked on the forums or craigslist for stock fiesta ST rims?
that’s what I did. Everyone wants to get rid of theirs, so I bought them cheap.

Try looking at Craigslist to see if there are any sellers of used winter tires on steelies in your bolt pattern and size. I got lucky a couple years ago and picked up a winter set for about $400.

We got our first house about 15 years ago. I never thought of all the things that a house needs. When I was a kid, things like lawn mowers and rakes and ladders were always there. I never had to think about where they came from. You get a house and suddenly all those things aren't there. I commiserate with you. But also, have fun!

No body has old focus rims for sale around you?

https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/wto/d/ford-focus-rims-tires/6665638548.html
Same lug pattern as the fiesta from 2000-2011 dropping down to a 16" rim should make the tires cheaper too. Not sure if you can run 15 on the ST or not.

Lots of people have said that you can run 15s, and Ford actually recommends the size.

Cross the border and you can have my 6 year old WS70's, they are only aaaheeemmmm about 40% worn, just too worn out to be as good as I really need during a Whitefish winter. Steel wheels or cheap alloys should be around $75 per.

Unfortunately, I have a huge issue with searching for used FiST things, and that’s because I live in Saskatchewan. There isn’t a whole lot for sale.

What year is your Focus? What tire size? :o)
You can get nice affordable wheel/tire packages from TR or the Canadian site 1010 :o)

Seems like it should really only cost you about 800usd, assuming you don’t mind your TMPS light being on all winter. IIRC mounting and balancing my rims and tires cost me like 150 after tax . They didn’t install them for me, but I’m pretty sure I got charged like they would have anyways. I just don’t like other people touching my lug bolts.

My WS80s were about USD 480 from TR . They then sent me a $70 rebate card. Installation was about $80. Mine are 195/55R16 tho.

Inexpensive. Looking at Tire Rack, I can get some sweet steelies and WS80s for $1200 including tax and shipping.

1010 has some
packages
starting at just $600 Canadian, and many others for well under $1000
. They offer free shipping within
Canada.
That site will have a better selection than TR since Canada gets a wider selection of winter tires than we get down here. That said, I was able to build a
package on TR
with Dunlop Winter Maxx 185/60-15 and Al
utec Grip wheels for $800 US. This does not include the price of TPMS sensors and shipping charge.
Are you required to have TPMS in Canada
? The US has required it si
nce 2008.

At least actual adulthood means having a paycheck! I feel the same way all the time, just wondering where the hell all of my money goes and why I dont have any extra money to buy car parts without much thought. I definitely used to buy more random shit when I had basically no job except I also had no expenses. Real life now means I have to actually budget things and plan but it aint so bad. It gets infinitely better when I make an active effort to save money.
