Perhaps My Old ST Is Bad Luck After All

Preface is I owned a blue car and blue bike before my first Kona Blue ST and both seemed like they were constant bad luck (got hit 4 times in a year in the cobalt, none my fault, plus some mechanical issues).

My old kona had a bunch of small issues with it along with getting rear ended at a stop by someone texting and letting their car roll, and a clear bra installer fucking up my front bumper by dropping it off a lift. By the time I traded it in on my ‘18 FoST I was damn near paranoid to drive it due to issues I was having. When I got my oil changed in the ‘18 at the dealer In June, they told me they had sold it back in April. Decided to look up my old plate out of boredom and noticed it had an accident reported which was weird. Turns out on May 4th (just after the second owner bought it) they hit a deer at 45 MPH and fucked up the front end. Hopefully the luck doesn’t continue with them.

Additional pic of my ‘18 because I can’t get over how awesome this color is.

I owned a blue car. It got totaled when I was rear-ended at a stoplight.

I hadn’t even made one payment on it yet.

Also, my wife hated that car and me for buying it.

Sounds like your wife has Stephen King - style psychic powers that only work on cars.

She said that if that was the case she would’ve destroyed the car without me inside of it.

I’m not entirely convinced.

She’s making the assumption that the psychic powers are under her control and not the manifestation of a second personality. Which second , according to everything Stephen King has taught us, is the normal program.

I’m operating under the premise that the powers are not under her control and I’ll make sure to to get her that mad at me or my car again.

For me, it wasn’t a specific colour that led to bad luck. It was when I would spend more for a car in better condition that would get bad luck.

In the past, I owned a white base model PT Cruiser. It didn’t have A/C and I got a great deal on it since I bought it during a heat wave in the summer. That car got written off when a lady in a Cadillac Escalade went through a red light and right into my PT... leaving a long gouge down the passenger side. At least it was determined that I wasn’t at fault.

The car after that, I had a black Ford Focus Wagon in mint condition. And one day I was at a restaurant having dinner. The Focus was parked on the street in front of the restaurant... and a lady not paying attention while driving smashed into it. This caused the rear subframe to get bent, among other issues and it was written off.

The car after that was a red Focus wagon (which died recently) that was worse in terms of rust... and I was actually wishing it would get hit so I could get a payoff. But do you think that would actually happen when I would want it to? NOOOOOO...

That website you used is very wrong. I typed in my RAV4's VIN and it said it didn’t have a wreck, even though I literally spun out on the Interstate, had a police report, and the vehicle was towed. I’m tempted to buy CarFax just to see if that wreck is in there.

Eh, it’s been pretty spot on for everything else I looked up. The location of the deer hit made sense, it was the county just north of where he dealer was
