MEG-So bad it’s good category. The movie is very self-aware but sometimes tries to take itself too seriously. Graphics are good though, not B-movie Megashark vs. Giant Octupus level
Watch it once when you’re drunk, or bored, or both. I love monster movies especially sharks. I still love Deep Blue Sea, and no this is not even that level.

I was entertained. It was a good time if you turned off the science-brain.

I mean it does feature a giant shark that’s been extinct for millions of years after all.

When I saw the trailer my first reaction was that looks bad enough to be good. The guys at Rifftra x always need some new material.

I read the book (now the first in a series of them) upon which this film is based not long after it turned in airport bookshops over 20 years ago.
You could instantly tell what the author was going for...page turning cinematic foolishness. It was enertainingly stupid (such as a scene where Meg cleaned up a helicopter by leaping high in the air...never mind that the proposed size of the thing meant that the landing would squish it like a bug....or the fact that it s very survival in deep ocean waters with low oxygen levels is ludicrous) . Sounds like the mob behind the flick continued in that theme . So kudos to them!
