If you’ve got “Fuck You!” money, you can just pay for your shit to get delivered at your house.

the higher ups at my work have taken to parking at the other building as the techs i work with cant resist the urge to park waaaaaay to close to the shiney spensive car.... i fully expect someone to screw up their passive agressive parking and ding a boss level car sooner or later

I mean, I have enough “lazy as fuck” money to get shit delivered. I’m still  pretty impressed that they’re daily driving this (but insanely curious about what their weekend car might be).

There’s someone here with a Panamera and it’s always in the farthest corner of the lot. This R8 and I  fight over one of the close spots that looks too small for normal vehicles.

You probably cannot even comprehend what their weekend vehicle is, plebe...

/s/ If it wasn’t obvious. I know I certainly am such a lowly plebe I cannot wrap my pathetic, feeble mind around what form of motorized entertainment they have access to when they aren’t commuting.

True. But Amazon doesn’t sell everything.

Yet.

Why not? These things are supposedly pretty reliable so why blow $40k on an A4 to commute in and spend every second wishing you were in your R8 when you could just drive the R8 and have this  for when you want something a little old school(or whatever attainable vintage car floats your boat). R8's aren’t going to appreciate anytime soon so no point in sitting on it.

Do you know the model of trailer that is ?! I’ve been looking for a small enclosed trailer EXACTLY like that for my miata!

IDK. I just remember seeing a trailer attached to a R8, a google later I found that image.

When I worked in Ft. Collins there was a lady that drove a white R8 everyday. I was just glad to see someone else that was into cars. For some reason Coloradoans have a thing against driving something that isn’t ordinary. I got so much shit for driving a $20k BMW. From people that made $150k+, and chose to get a new Subaru Outback every 3 years. Two of them had no issue buying the newest $10k+ Specialized carbon fiber road bike every spring, but somehow I was the douche bag. That’s one thing I don’t miss about CO. Everyone has their own inte rests, can’t we just accept people spend their disposable income on what they like ?

This is like that old rule that there's porn for everything. Not interested in proving it right or wrong.

See E92M3’s post about why this is surprising here. The Panamera I understand...this is pretty out of place.

Also because I work in a building that appears to employ  a bunch of people who work in ripped jeans or leggings and a t-shirt or hoodie. And not in a Mark Zucker berg sort of way. More in an orange Kia Soul sort of way. I guess one of them could have a trust fund?

That’s true... although idk what sort of industry/companies are in your building but I know in tech, especially in the west and even moreso outside of California (I’m in software in the Pacific Northwest which is culturally pretty similar to Denver) it’s more in a Zuckerburg way than you think. I’m honestly about it if it’s not in a judgmental way, which I’ve found it not to be. Everyone at my company is an engineer of some sort besides a few people in marketing/accounting/finance so the floor salary is well into comfortable- with- disposable- income range. The company parking lot ranges from b eaters to Teslas, people spend money on what’s important to them rather than on new vehicles that don’t interest them  try to impress people, but I’ve never gotten any crap for having a nicer and newer truck than a lot of my more senior employees. Our CEO/founder has a ~5 year old 3-series but fields and captains a multimillion dollar racing yacht because that’s what he wants to spend his money on.
