me too, I used to think along the lines of the purists but have changed and would prefer to be on the side of pissing them off instead of agreeing with them

tbh... i think the only times i really agree with the purists is when someone hacks up a pristine car.... not that i really have a problem with it... its just such a waste

I have toyed with the idea of putting a 75 2.4 TD engine in an Alfetta GTV body I have lying around.

over the past 4-5 months so many ideas have been flying through my mind, could get this car and put that engine in etc. most seemed to involve v6 or v8s and arches on classics lol

I’m not a big fan of diesel engines but I do know that some mildly interesting ones exist. Alfa Romeo did use a very weird shortened VM Motori 1.8 liter turbodiesel in 33. If I remember correctly it’s the largest three cylinder diesel engine ever to power a passenger car.

Just saw this, and it’s not gonna best a 6BT for power. There are 2500-3000hp 6BT’s out there. People us e these for pulling competitions, so the aftermarket is absolutely massive. You can make a reliable 750hp out of these.
