Out of all the Series special editions this is the most boring. Just flat gra y compared to the bright blues and yellows we have gotten in the past.

Edelbrock makes a supercharger kit and the Subaru d ealer down the street from me will install them: it’ll costs you abo ut $6k installed, Edelbrock honors the factory warranty, and it’s 50 state legal. Oh, and it makes 300hp (crank on pump gas and wheel on E85, there are options to make more power but most aren’t CARB certified).

Most people who think/say the car needs more power haven’t driven one in anger at the track or autox (or are slow drivers). Whenever I give someone a ride at the track or autox they are shocked at how fast the “slow” car is.

Kind of a moot point for me personally. I’d never buy one new because of the atrocious Subaru dealers near me, and if I bought one used (totally possible down the road) it would likely get heavily modded. Any popular engine swaps for the platform?

I don’t think taking a car on autox or a track day is a good indicator of whether or not it needs more power. That’s Inot how most people are going to use it.  really enjoyed driving the twins, but being able to pass someone in an x3 or similar while at highway speeds would be much appreciated.

On one hand, I agree. The yellow is phenomenal and the blue was quite nice.

On the other hand... I love me a good flat gray. Glad to see it taking off in popularity over the last year or so

You just downshift and go around them. How often do you go full throttle? If you aren’t full throttle you aren’t using all the power you’ve got, and I guarantee you that if you are ful l throttle in a twin you’ll either pass whoever you are trying to or exceed the speed limit in very short order.

Engine swaps are more hassle than they are worth. Get a used Corvette, they come with an LS.

If you aren’t tracking or doing autox you aren’t driving, you’re just commuting.

I think the worst was the Series.Blue, j ust because it wasn’t an exclusive color. It was the standard WRB with a body kit.

I honestly didn't realize the Series.Blue was a thing until I found one looking at BRZs on Auto trader. The Series.Hyperblue was was better, though in my opinion Hyperblue works much better on the WRX than it does on the BRZ.
